Effective date: [October 06 2025]
Applies to: https://calcoastrepair.com and any pages, forms, texts, or messages where this policy appears or is linked.

We’re a small, local business in San Luis Obispo County, California. This Policy explains what we collect, why, how we use and share it, and the choices you have, particularly

1) Information we collect

We collect information in three ways: (a) you give it to us, (b) it’s collected automatically, and (c) we receive it from service providers.

A. You provide (examples)

  • Contact details: name, phone, email, service address/cross-streets.

  • Job details: photos or videos you upload/text, descriptions of issues, preferred times, access notes.

  • Payment details: processed by our payment provider (we don’t store full card numbers).

  • Reviews or testimonials you choose to share.

  • Communications: calls, texts, emails, website forms, Google Business messages.

B. Collected automatically

  • Device and usage: IP address, browser/device type, pages viewed, time on page, referring URL.

  • Cookies/online identifiers used for essential site functions, analytics, and (if enabled) ads/retargeting.

C. From service providers

  • Scheduling, form, payment, analytics, or marketing platforms (e.g., WordPress, Google Analytics, [WPForms/Fluent Forms], [Square/Stripe], [Mailchimp/ConvertKit]—see “Service Providers” below).

2) How we use information

  • To provide services: schedule, quote, perform work, take before/after photos, send invoices/receipts, and communicate about jobs.

  • Customer support & safety: verify appointments, job-site access, fraud prevention.

  • Business operations: accounting, tax, and recordkeeping; staff training and quality assurance.

  • Improvement & analytics: understand site usage to improve pages and services.

  • Marketing (optional): send service reminders, promotions, or newsletters (you can unsubscribe anytime).

  • Legal compliance: respond to lawful requests, enforce terms, and protect rights and safety.

3) Cookies & online tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • keep the site working (essential),

  • measure performance (analytics), and

  • if enabled, show relevant ads (advertising/retargeting).

You can manage preferences via our Cookie Settings link and your browser settings. Some features may not work without essential cookies.

  • Cookie Preferences: [/cookie-preferences]

  • Do Not Sell/Share My Personal Information: [/do-not-sell] (explained below)

4) When we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited data with:

  • Service providers/contractors who help us run the business and are bound by contracts to use data only to provide services to us (hosting, forms, scheduling, payments, messaging, analytics, email, file storage).

  • Professional partners (only with your direction) if a licensed trade is required—we’ll tell you when we make a referral.

  • Legal, safety, and compliance recipients if needed to protect you/us, or if required by law.

  • Business transfers if we reorganize, merge, or sell assets; your information may transfer as part of that change.

5) Data retention

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including legal, tax, and safety requirements. Typical examples:

  • Quotes/Invoices/Job photos: up to 7 years (tax/records).

  • Contact form submissions and texts: 1–3 years (operations/support).

  • Analytics data: 14–26 months (Google Analytics default) unless configured otherwise.

You can ask us to delete information (see “Your Rights,” below); some data may be retained if required by law or to complete an ongoing transaction.

6) Your choices

  • Calls/Texts/Emails: you can opt out of marketing messages; service/transactional messages may still be sent.

  • Cookies: adjust via [/cookie-preferences] and your browser.

  • Marketing: unsubscribe links are in each email; reply STOP to SMS to opt out.

SMS disclosure: By providing your phone number, you consent to receive texts related to your requests and services (frequency varies). Message/data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
